News From the boatyard: the “Mini Transat” preparations are going well
Winter race preparations are going well as the Eiger International boat reached her Lorient boatyard last week.
“Most of this preparation work is focused towards structural reinforcement and checking in order to be set and safe on the starting line of the transatlantic race in September. My second goal is optimizing life on board and lightness, getting the boat faster and easier to live in. This includes demanding hydrodynamics and structural studies in collaboration with the boatyard. Altogether I am happy with what we are doing, although I don’t have much time left! Training sessions will come in quickly and the first races of the season are in less then two months.”
